Courteous, pleasant, helpfulFront Office and Guest Reataions. Excellent, knowledgable Concierge attention. Fantastic location on the Waterfront with stunning all-round views. Perfectly located for the World Cup Green Point Stadium.
Houskeeping well-meaning but occasionally under-performing. Dining facilities lets them down: poor selection of dishes and rather indifferently prepared and amateurishly served. Lets them down.
Staff from the reception to the hotel operators are largely incompetent, at least the dozen or so we met. Especially the mid-level is a problem. The bottom level staff were fine, but from there up, it was a disaster!
On check-in preauthorisation of 8800 ZAR still held on credit card. This is in addition to 8167.90 debited from card upon check out. Reception staff a joke.
I took my wife there for our anniversary and the staff took extra effort to make our stay welcoming and special.
Staff friendliness and service excellense.
i love the view! I particularly like the new refurbishment - or will do when its finished. Long overdue.
The Maid through away a very expensive dream of mine!
Outstanding location with beautiful views Great hotel with large well appointed room and excellent service
Views and terrace breakfasts
The hotel location is very good... walking distance (10 minutes) to water front shopping mall and restaurants. The hotel scenery is magnificent. Breakfast and other services were great
Close to water front shopping mall and restaurants....and outside view from the hotel
Rooms were nice
They had booked out the hotel for 40th Birthday party and we could not use any of the outside ammenities. Our Business Suites also overlooked the party and we were kept awake till the early morning hours. What a disappointment for the money we spent. Would have been nice to have known about the party. I would not have spent all the money!
Dont miss the marvelous mornings and breakfast
Loved the location just the best view of the ocean at the Waterfront and the staff were excellent
Breakfast was not the best if you like it cooked
Location, Close to V&A, Staff very friendly and helpfull, breakfast.
Room was avarage, waiter service very poor during the day. My wife spa treatment was dreadfull, therapist was sms her family during the treatment, massaged with one hand:(
Location, Room quality.
Having to pay 90 ZAR per day for parking over and above the 4000 ZAR per night... Disgusting!!! Incredibly bad service from the restaurant and bar staff. Firstly having to fight for a table with the Maitre D as they push the restaurant out to non guests. Incredibly sloppy and non plussed service from the waiters ( I dont think that my champagne glass was refilled once by a waiter over the 3 days that we stayed) Some of the worst service I have ever receivedd
location and views if you have sea facing room
Check in staff were very poor
Room door did not work Mechanism was replaced. Bar fridge compressor noisy. Was replaced the following morning. Shuttle service from v&a to and from hotel poor. Food choice for a top class hotel ..,....bad and boring.
The view is incredible and location. However very lacking for a 5 star hotel, service was terrible and slow, and the hotel looked very tired in places and dated. As a business traveller the room service menu was very limited. Very expensive for what you actually got. On a positive note did feel safe and secure.
Yes service for a 5 star hotel was very poor, they did not get one of my orders right!
